December 9, 2012
Two Minnesota rinks will battle for the 2013 USA Curling Mixed Doubles National Championship title tonight at the Capital Curling Club.

Pete and Maureen Stolt of Plymouth, Minn., remain undefeated and will have two chances to win the event with the double knockout provision in place. The Stolts defeated fellow Minnesotans Tim Doherty (St. Paul, Minn.) and Carol Strojny (Mendota Heights, Minn.), 6-4, in the semifinals this afternoon. They move on to play against Andy Jukich (Duluth, Minn.) and Tina Kelly (Bemidji, Minn.), who got past Scott and Teri Olson of Littleton, Mass., 9-5, to clinch the other spot in the final. The final is set for 5 today. If the Stolts lose at 5 p.m., the two teams will play again at 9 a.m. Monday for the title.
